The Word is Out! (...and so is the book)

Ghost Hunk's book has hit the shelves.  Yes, you can now pick up a copy of The Porning of America by Carmine Sarracino and Kevin Scott at your local bookstore or on Amazon.   To get a look at their thesis, check out our hometown newspaper's interview here.  If you have children, especially young girls, this is a must read.  (Okay...I'm only a little biased here.)

  1. Congratulations to your husband! His book sounds fascinating and something I've often thought of myself when I see little girls trying to dress like Britney Spears or some other empty-headed pop star. I'd have loved a daughter but I know I'd be worried nearly all the time. I'll look for it in the bookstore.

Any word about your novels yet? Am keeping my fingers crossed for you. Good luck with the packing.

  2. Thanks, Stella! No word on my babies, yet. I hope to have an agent soon and maybe something will come together at the Rutgers One-on-One.

BTW— My daughter is moving in the right direction: when she sees a Bratz doll, she does the mock-vomit!

  3. Ah, the Rutgers One-on-One. A woman in my crit group attended that last year and she got a lot out of it. Sounds like a great opportunity to meet a potential agent. Good luck!

Glad to hear your daughter doesn't like those things. When I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to have a Barbie doll. My dad thought little girls should play with baby dolls, not little mannequins. He may have had a point, although at the time I thought it was unfair.
